About Windsor Park

Archibald Leitch expanded the south Belfast ground in the 1930s towards a reported 60,000 capacity, and successive rebuilds then shrank it. The site was first used in 1905 for a Linfield versus Glentoran fixture. A redevelopment costing around 38 million pounds between 2014 and 2016 produced today's 18,614-seat National Football Stadium, with new south and east stands and a west stand demolished and rebuilt after structural cracks appeared. Northern Ireland play here, and the ground staged the 2021 UEFA Super Cup.
