About Weidner Field

Opened in April 2021 in downtown Colorado Springs, the ground sits about 6,035 feet above sea level, the highest of any professional soccer venue in the American pyramid. Its 8,000-seat bowl expands to roughly 15,000 for concerts, and the FIFA-approved playing surface uses a coconut-fibre and cork infill that cost around $750,000. A 35-foot Saturn sculpture called The Epicenter anchors the concourse, alongside supporter terracing known as Base Camp. The 2021 NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament was played here.
