About Voith-Arena

Heidenheim's municipally owned ground dates from 1972, when it opened as the Albstadion, and it carried the GAGFAH name before the current Voith sponsorship. Renovation in 2013 and later expansion work lifted capacity to 15,000. The playing surface is hybrid grass measuring 105 by 68 metres, and 37 executive boxes serve hospitality guests. The city of Heidenheim an der Brenz still owns the site on Schloßhaustraße, which became one of the smallest venues in the Bundesliga once the local club reached the German top flight.
