About Vitality Stadium

A rebuild completed in 2001 turned the pitch ninety degrees and shifted the playing area away from neighbouring housing, leaving a capacity of only 9,600. The Bournemouth ground had become a permanent home in December 1910, on land donated by the Cooper-Dean family, from whom it took its name. An additional 2,400-seat structure closed the open end in 2013, raising the total to 12,357. The club bought the freehold back in 2025 and plans to enlarge the ground towards 20,000 seats without moving away during the work.
