About Villa Park
Four stands now ring a Desso GrassMaster pitch at this Birmingham venue, which staged its first match in 1897 on the gardens of a Victorian pleasure park known as the Aston Lower Grounds. The Trinity Road side was rebuilt in 2000-01, while the Holte End closes the southern touchline. Three matches at the 1966 World Cup and four at Euro 96 were played here, along with more FA Cup semi-finals than at any other ground. Rugby internationals, boxing, cricket tours and concerts have also filled it.
Home club
