About Twerton Park
Land given by Thomas Carr opened as the Innox Park recreation ground in June 1909, and Bath City moved in during 1932, putting up a thousand-seat stand. Four sides enclose the pitch: the Bath End, the Grandstand, the Popular Side and the Bristol End. Bombing damaged the ground during the Bath Blitz of 1941, and the grandstand was wrecked again in 1990, prompting an 800,000 pound rebuild. Bristol Rovers ground-shared here between 1986 and 1996, and Bristol City Women arrived in 2020. A crowd of 18,020 saw an FA Cup tie with Brighton in 1960.
