About The New Lawn

Approval came in October 2003 and building started in May 2005, despite objections to siting a ground on former school playing fields on the hillside west of Nailsworth. Forest Green Rovers left The Lawn and first played here in July 2006, with an official opening that September. Two seated stands sit alongside a gym, leisure club and conference rooms, and the club laid what it describes as the world's first organic pitch, backed by solar panels. The 2009 Conference League Cup final was staged here, as was a vegan-themed fixture in 2014. Record attendance is 4,836.
