About Teddy Stadium

Jerusalem's municipality developed this ground in the Malha district on the city's south-western edge, opening it in 1990-91 with western and eastern stands holding 14,500. A northern stand added roughly 8,000 seats in 1999, and the southern side was closed off on 3 June 2013, lifting the total to 31,733. Named after former mayor Teddy Kollek, it is shared by Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Jerusalem. Upgrades from 2016 onwards brought new LED screens, sound equipment, hospitality boxes and solar panels. The 2013 European Under-21 Championship final was played here.
