About TD Place Stadium
Frank Clair Stadium was the name this Lansdowne Park ground carried between 1993 and 2014. Football has been played on the site since the 1870s, though the first permanent grandstand there dates from 1908. FieldTurf replaced Astroturf in 2001. A redevelopment that demolished the crumbling south-side stands rebuilt the venue and finished in 2014 under the TD Place name, with capacity now 24,000. Seven Grey Cup finals have been decided here, and the ground staged matches at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2015 Women's World Cup.
