About Tannadice Park

Two hundred yards separate this Dundee ground from Dens Park, the closest pairing of senior football grounds in Britain. Laid out in 1882 as Clepington Park, it took the Tannadice name in 1909 when Dundee Hibernian moved in. The 1962 main stand, now named after Jerry Kerr, was the first in Scotland built with a cantilever roof for column-free viewing. Rebuilding between 1991 and 1997 made the ground all-seated by 1994, cutting capacity to 14,223 from the 28,000 who watched Barcelona visit in 1966.
