About Südstadion

Zollstock in the south of Cologne has held this municipal ground since 1978, and its 11,748 places include a comparatively small covered seated section. Work carried out in 2012 delivered a new roof over that stand together with floodlights, a sound system, sanitary blocks and ticket booths. Promotion to the 3. Liga brought further alterations in 2014, when segregation between home and visiting supporters, extra emergency doors, wavebreakers and video surveillance were added. American football sides and the reserve team of 1. FC Köln also use the pitch.
