About Strawberry Arena

Sweden's national stadium rose in Solna between 2009 and 2012 beside the lake Råstasjön, taking over from nearby Råsunda at a cost of about 1.9 billion kronor to a scheme led by C.F. Møller Architects. A retractable roof allows year-round use and the facade can be lit in millions of colour combinations. It seats 50,000 for football and up to 65,000 for concerts. Opened in October 2012 as Friends Arena and renamed in 2024, it staged the 2013 UEFA Women's Euro final before 41,301 spectators.
