About Stonebridge Road

A covered Main Stand, the Plough End, the terraced Stonebridge Road side and the open Swanscombe End enclose the pitch at this Northfleet ground, where football has been played since 1905, when it opened for the local club that merged with Gravesend in 1946. Gillingham borrowed it briefly in 1961 and Dartford ground-shared between 2000 and 2006. Redevelopment in 2016-17 replaced one stand with offices and hospitality space. February 1963 brought the record crowd of 12,032, for an FA Cup tie with Sunderland.
