About Stadion pod Goricom
Built in 1945 below the wooded Gorica hill, the Podgorica ground burned down completely in 1952 and was reconstructed with room for roughly 17,000 spectators. The main stand was rebuilt in the mid-1980s, floodlights followed in 1989 and the west stand was refurbished in 2004; after the breakup of Yugoslavia the east side was demolished and a new north stand raised. The pitch was relaid in 2014. A crowd of 20,000 for the visit of Hajduk Split in August 1975 stands as the record.
