About Rostekh Arena
Oktyabrsky Island, a low-lying strip in the middle of Kaliningrad, was prepared to carry this arena, designed by the French practice Wilmotte & Associés along lines borrowed from Munich's Allianz Arena. Work stalled when the original contractor went bankrupt in 2014 before Crocus International took over, and the ground opened in April 2018. As the westernmost venue of that summer's World Cup it staged four group matches, after which seating was cut back from 35,000 to 25,000 before the stadium was handed to Baltika.
Home club
