About RCDE Stadium

Straddling the boundary between Cornellà de Llobregat and El Prat on Barcelona's south-western edge, the arena took two years and roughly 60 million euros to build before opening on 2 August 2009 with a friendly against Liverpool. Reid Fenwick Asociados handled the design, and the venue collected a Stadium Business Award soon after completion. It has carried several sponsored names, including Power8 Stadium and Stage Front Stadium. Concerts by The Black Eyed Peas and Rammstein have been staged there, and the attendance record of 40,240 dates from a visit by Real Madrid in February 2011.
