About Princes Park
Sustainability shaped the £7 million ground that Dartford Borough Council opened on Darenth Road in November 2006, returning senior football to the borough after 14 years away. Alexander Sedgley's design sank the pitch two metres below ground level to limit noise and light spill, and crowned the building with a sedum living roof, solar panels, water recycling and low-energy lighting. Capacity is 4,100, of which 642 are seated; the opening fixture against Horsham YMCA drew 4,097, still the record.
Home club
Dartford FC is an English non-league football club from Dartford in Kent, founded in 1888.
