About Poljud
Boris Magaš designed the shell-like structure that rose in the Poljud district of Split, completed in 1979 with a roof spanning roughly 206 by 47 metres and a layout modelled on ancient Greek theatres so the surrounding hills stay in view. Original capacity was about 55,000 and later grew further, before the installation of seats in the 1990s reduced it to 33,987. Besides Hajduk's football, the bowl has staged the 1990 European Athletics Championships, the 2010 IAAF Continental Cup and the Ultra Europe festival.
Home club
Hajduk Split is a Croatian football club from Split, on the Dalmatian coast, founded in 1911 and one of the biggest and most passionately supported clubs in the country.
