About Parken

Built between 1990 and 1992 on the footprint of the old Idrætsparken national ground, the Østerbro arena cost 640 million kroner and staged its first match in September 1992. A retractable roof was added in 2000-01, allowing year-round concerts alongside football; Michael Jackson drew a reported 60,000 there in August 1997. Denmark's national team shares the ground with F.C. Copenhagen, and the venue hosted the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest as well as three group games and a last-16 tie at UEFA Euro 2020.
