About Mikuni World Stadium
Perched on the Kokurakita waterfront with views across the Kanmon Straits, the Kitakyushu ground was built between 2015 and 2017 and opened that February. Its rectangular, athletics-free layout seats 15,460 close to the pitch and suits rugby as readily as football. Giravanz Kitakyushu have played there since it opened, Japan's national rugby side has used it for internationals since 2022, and Wales drew a full house for an open training session ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Home club
Giravanz Kitakyushu is a Japanese football club from Kitakyushu, in Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyushu.
