About Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium

Replacing the older Hiroshima Municipal Stadium, this Minami-ku ballpark opened on 10 April 2009 and was laid out in the retro-classic American idiom, with an outfield stretching 122 metres to dead centre. Around 32,000 spectators can be seated, and space for some 300 wheelchair users was built in from the start. Mazda secured the naming rights in November 2008, borrowing the carmaker's long-running 'Zoom-Zoom' advertising slogan for the title.
