About Lotto Park

Rebuilding between 1983 and 1991 cost 1.5 billion Belgian francs and won an International Olympic Committee architecture award in 1992, and the ground took the name of chairman Constant Vanden Stock during that work. Play had begun on this corner of Anderlecht in 1917, with a single wooden stand serving the pitch, and the enclosure took the name of industrialist Emile Verse the following year. Work in 2012 to satisfy UEFA rules widened aisles and reset the seating, cutting the total to 21,500. A semi-final of the 1972 European Championship was played here, and the sponsored name arrived in 2019.
