About Isotopes Park

Albuquerque's ballpark opened in 2003 on the site of the Albuquerque Sports Stadium, of which only the playing field survived what turned into an entirely new $25 million structure by SMPC Architects. It was built to receive the relocated Calgary Cannons, renamed the Isotopes after a Simpsons episode. Seating 13,279, including 11,154 fixed seats, it now also hosts New Mexico United of the USL Championship. The field sits above 5,100 feet, which favours hitters, and 16,975 attended a Cinco de Mayo game in May 2018.
