About Highbury Stadium

Speedway shaped the early layout here: the Fleetwood Flyers raced between 1948 and 1952, which left the stands pushed well back from the pitch. The ground opened in 1939 in the south-west corner of Memorial Park. Redevelopment from 2007 produced the Percy Ronson Stand, followed by new north and west terracing in 2008 and the £4 million Parkside Stand in spring 2011, which added three levels of seating and executive boxes. The pitch was relaid in 2009 and capacity stands at 5,327.
