About Gladsaxe Stadium
An attendance record of 10,039 was set against FC Copenhagen in April 2004. The Gladsaxevej ground in Søborg was inaugurated on 26 May 1940, two years after work started in 1938 on what was then called Gladsaxe Idrætspark Marielyst. A rebuild ran from November 1998 to 12 September 1999, delivering a long side with upper and lower grandstands and a sponsors' lounge; the stand opposite dates from the 1960s, while both ends remain standing terraces. Around 7,700 of the places are covered seats. Akademisk Boldklub share the venue with Gladsaxe-Hero Boldklub and an American football club.
