About Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers moved to the Nuttall Street ground in 1890, eight years after it first opened, and its record crowd of 61,783 gathered for an FA Cup tie with Bolton Wanderers in March 1929. Jack Walker's money transformed the site during the 1990s, producing the all-seater bowl of 31,367 places formed by the Riverside, Jack Walker, Bryan Douglas Darwen End and Ronnie Clayton Blackburn End stands. Six FA Cup semi-finals, full internationals and the 2005 UEFA Women's Euro final have been played here, alongside rugby league fixtures and concerts.
