About Estadio Nuevo Arcángel

Owned by Córdoba's city council, the ground opened with an oval layout in which an athletics track kept spectators well back from the play. Remodelling begun in 2004 demolished three of the four stands and shifted the pitch westwards to close that gap; the rebuilt eastern side carries two tiers, with an unfinished eight-storey office block standing behind it. The original layout held 15,425 seats, and Spain beat Japan 1-0 here in April 2001. A naming-rights agreement signed in February 2025 attached a sponsor's name to the venue.
