About Estádio Nabi Abi Chedid

Raised in just 32 days after a popular campaign in Braganca Paulista, the ground opened in 1949 under the name Estadio Parque das Pedras, with Bragantino winning the inaugural match 2-1. It was called the Estadio Marcelo Stefani until January 2009, when the renaming in honour of former club president Nabi Abi Chedid was poorly received locally. A crowd of 15,000 for the 1990 Campeonato Paulista final against Novorizontino remains the record. The second leg of the 1991 Brazilian championship final was played here; the ground was deactivated in 2025.
