About Estadio Islas Malvinas

All Boys moved to Monte Castro from a rented ground in 1960 and opened this one on 28 September 1963, at first with only a wooden grandstand and a concrete stand on Mercedes street. It gained its present name in 1982, a reference to Argentina's claim over the Falkland Islands. Floodlights arrived in 1998, a new Miranda street stand in 2001, concrete replacements for the old terracing in 2007, and a press box, suites and reworked second tier in 2008. Capacity is 21,500.
