About Estadio Alfonso Murube

Opened in 1933 as the Campo Municipal de Deporte and nicknamed the Docker after nearby barracks, this Ceuta ground was renamed in April 1942 for a local player killed in the Spanish Civil War. Neglected during the 1990s, it was rebuilt and reinaugurated in October 1997. Around 6,500 spectators can be accommodated. Copa del Rey visits by Barcelona, Real Betis and Málaga have been staged here, along with Spain under-21 internationals in 2002 and 2008.
