About Erve Asito
Heracles Almelo moved to this purpose-built ground in Almelo on 10 September 1999, opening it with a match against FC Zwolle. The original 6,900 seats soon proved too few: an enlargement in 2005 lifted the figure to roughly 8,500, including some 400 places for visiting supporters, and a further expansion in 2015 pushed it past 12,000. Sponsorship has repeatedly changed the name, from Polman Stadion to Erve Asito in 2019 and again from the 2024-25 season.
