About Easter Road
Leith has hosted Hibernian's home matches on this site since February 1893. A crowd of 65,860 for a New Year derby in 1950 remains the largest recorded for any match played outside Glasgow. Rebuilding from 1995 added two-tier stands behind both goals, and the pronounced slope across the pitch was finally levelled by 2000. The West Stand followed in 2001, and a single-tier east side, renamed the Pat Stanton Stand in 2025, was completed in 2010, leaving an all-seated capacity of 20,421.
