About East End Park
First used in 1885, the Dunfermline ground settled on its present footprint in 1920 after the board bought land from the North British Railway. Greyhound racing helped pay the bills through the Depression years, and a two-tier main stand followed in 1962, financed by a Scottish Cup win. An artificial surface was tried between 2003 and 2005 before grass returned. The all-seater now holds 11,480 and has under-soil heating; a crowd of 27,816 for a Celtic visit in April 1968 remains the record.
