About Dens Park
Barely 200 yards separate this Dens Road ground from Tannadice Park. Dundee moved here in 1899 from Carolina Port, and the terraces later held a record 43,024 for a Scottish Cup tie against Rangers in February 1953. Scotland met Wales here three times between 1904 and 1936. Two new stands, the Bobby Cox and the Bob Shankly, went up in 82 days before the 1998-99 season, and undersoil heating was laid in 2005. Greyhound racing ran at the ground in the 1930s and again in the mid-1990s.
