About Dalymount Park

Phibsborough has hosted Bohemians since 1901, when a patch of common land known locally as Pisser Dignam's Field was laid out as Dalymount Park. Archibald Leitch shaped the ground in the 1920s and 1930s, and for decades it doubled as the home of Irish international football, drawing a record 48,000 for a World Cup qualifier against England in 1957. Bob Marley played his only Irish concert here in 1980. Dublin City Council bought the site in 2015, and plans approved since then would rebuild it as an 8,000-capacity municipal stadium.
