About Color Line Stadion
Costing 160 million kroner to construct, the Alesund ground was inaugurated in April 2005 and became the first top-flight venue in Norway to be laid with artificial turf, a decision that provoked considerable argument at the time. It holds 10,778 spectators, of whom 9,598 are seated, and the attendance record of 10,903 was set against Hamarkameratene during its opening season. Fortuna Alesund's women's team has shared the ground since 2009. A statue outside was formally named in 2018 after the former Aalesund player John Arne Riise.
Home club
Aalesund, formally Aalesunds FK, is a Norwegian football club based in Ålesund on the country's west coast.
