About City Stadium
Dating from 1939, this multi-sport ground shares its Lynchburg site with Bank of the James Stadium and belongs to Lynchburg City Schools. Liberty's football programme used it for sixteen seasons before moving to Williams Stadium in 1989. Following a long stretch of limited upkeep, the city funded a renovation from 2014 that replaced the natural grass with an AstroTurf Q Series surface and rebuilt the press box, scoreboards, bleachers and public address system, with the work completed in time for the 2016 autumn football season.
Home club
