About Carrow Road
Thrown up in just 82 days during the summer of 1935, the ground replaced Norwich City's cramped former home at The Nest and originally held about 35,000. Four stands now enclose the pitch: the Barclay, the Geoffrey Watling City Stand, the Jarrold Stand and the Regency Security Stand, following conversion to an all-seater in 1992 and a rebuild of the Jarrold Stand in 2003-04. A hybrid pitch was laid in 2004. Beyond league football it has staged England under-21 fixtures, the 1986 Women's FA Cup final and concerts by Elton John and Take That.
Home club
Norwich City FC is an English football club from Norwich in Norfolk, in the east of England, nicknamed the Canaries for their yellow-and-green colours.
