About Brunton Park

Warwick Road has hosted Carlisle United since 1909, when the club was evicted from Devonshire Park by the Duke of Devonshire. Fire destroyed the original wooden grandstand in 1953, and the low-lying site has flooded badly more than once, notably in January 2005 and again during Storm Desmond in 2015. Four sections enclose the pitch: the Main Stand, the Warwick Road End with its triple-triangle roof, the East Stand of 1996 and the rarely opened Petteril End. A record 27,603 watched an FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough in February 1970.
