About Brøndby Stadion

Inaugurated on 31 July 1966, the arena at Brøndbyvester grew from a spartan municipal sports ground into the second-largest football venue in Denmark. Its first covered stand dates from 1979, the Sydsiden terrace took shape in 1992, and a rebuild costing 270 million kroner around 2000 linked the four stands with upper tiers once the running track had gone. The club bought the ground outright in the late 1990s, and a GrassMaster hybrid surface was laid in 2016. A record 31,508 attended a derby against F.C. Copenhagen in June 2003.
