About Borough Briggs
Highland League football arrived here on 20 August 1921, when Inverness Citadel were beaten 3-0 in the opening fixture, the site replacing a temporary home at Cooper Park used since 1919. Capacity stands at 4,520, though only 478 of those places are seats, and those seats have a curious provenance: they were lifted from Newcastle United's St James' Park after Elgin City joined the Scottish Football League in 2000. A main stand and a bank of terracing overlook the grass pitch.
Home club
Elgin City FC is a Scottish football club from Elgin, in Moray in the north-east.
