About Bolt Arena

Inaugurated in 2000 in the Töölö district, a short walk from Helsinki's older Olympic Stadium, the ground holds 10,770 spectators. Natural grass proved impossible to sustain because the stands blocked too much sunlight, so an artificial surface was laid, most recently renewed in April 2025. Sponsors have supplied a run of names: Finnair Stadium, Sonera Stadium, Telia 5G areena and now Bolt Arena. It hosted the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship and the win that carried Finland to Euro 2020.
