About Bloomfield Stadium

Ground was broken in eastern Jaffa during September 1960 on the site of the older Basa Stadium, and the arena opened in October 1962 with money from Canadian donors including the Montreal-based Bloomfield family. Rebuilding between 2016 and 2019 lifted it to roughly 29,000 seats. Both Hapoel and Maccabi Tel Aviv use the pitch, as does the national side. Past fixtures include the 1964 AFC Asian Cup, the 2013 European Under-21 Championship and two Trophée des Champions finals.
