About Bank of America Stadium
Uptown Charlotte gained a 75,037-capacity bowl in August 1996, a roughly 500 million dollar project by Wagner Murray Architects and Populous that was funded partly through the pioneering sale of personal seat licences. It carried the Ericsson name until Bank of America bought the rights in 2004 under a deal worth 140 million dollars. Renovation from 2014 added video boards and other upgrades, and synthetic turf now covers the field. The biggest crowd, 82,193, came for the Concert for Carolina in October 2024.
