About Balmoral Stadium

Cove Rangers left the outdated Allan Park for this purpose-built ground in the Cove Bay area, on the southern edge of Aberdeen, in July 2018. Scottish FA licensing requirements drove the move, which the club pursued alone after a joint scheme with Aberdeen was rejected in 2012; planning consent followed in 2014 and a sponsorship deal with the Balmoral Group in 2016. Plans for the Calder Park site included a stand of 312 seats and 110 parking spaces, with an all-weather 3G artificial pitch later shared with Aberdeen's women's team.
