About Ballymena Showgrounds
Council-owned and in use by Ballymena United, the Warden Street ground holds 4,100 but is restricted to 3,600 on health and safety grounds. Redevelopment from 2001 swept away the old Clock Stand in favour of a structure containing sixteen changing rooms and corporate facilities; it was first used for an Ulster Cup tie against Carrick Rangers in August 2002 and formally opened against Bolton Wanderers. Terracing on the Warden Street side became 2,200 seats in 2010. Stock car racing ran here from 1977 until 2019.
