About Ball Arena
Denver's downtown indoor arena opened in October 1999 beside Speer Boulevard, replacing McNichols Sports Arena at a cost of around 375 million dollars. It is shared by the Nuggets, Avalanche and Mammoth, covering basketball, hockey and lacrosse. Known as the Pepsi Center until a 2020 naming deal with Ball Corporation, the building has hosted Stanley Cup finals, the 2005 NBA All-Star Game, three games of the 2023 NBA Finals and the closing night of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
