About AEK Arena

Built on land held jointly with the neighbouring GSZ Stadium, the Larnaca ground was completed in 2016 and opened on 17 October that year with a 4-0 win over Aris. Plans for three stands were revised during construction so that seating encloses the pitch on all four sides, giving 8,058 places. UEFA raised the venue to Category 4 in September 2022, and Cyprus have used it for national-team fixtures since 2021.
