About Adelaide Oval
Laid out in the Adelaide Park Lands at North Adelaide, the ground staged its first cricket match in December 1873, with football arriving in 1877. Reconstruction between 2012 and 2014 replaced the older grandstands with the Riverbank, Eastern and Western stands while keeping the Northern Mound, the Moreton Bay figs and the manual scoreboard of 1911. Seating capacity reached 50,083 after that work, and the record crowd of 62,543 came at the 1965 SANFL grand final.
Home club
