The Saitama Seibu Lions are a Japanese professional baseball club based in Tokorozawa in Saitama, north of Tokyo. One of the most successful teams in Nippon Professional Baseball, the Lions have won many Japan Series titles and league pennants over their long history. Backed by the Seibu railway group, they play at the Belluna Dome and command a loyal following.
The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters are a Japanese professional baseball team based in the Sapporo area of the northern island of Hokkaido. Competing in the Pacific League of Nippon Professional Baseball and backed by the Nippon Ham food company, the club relocated north from Tokyo in 2004. It now plays at the state-of-the-art Es Con Field Hokkaido and has won the Japan Series championship.
